Fair Park is a National Historic Landmark and Home of the State Fair of Texas Big Tex and the Texas Star (the largest Ferris wheel in the world). This 257-acre park features the Dallas Aquarium Dallas Horticulture Center and The Age of Steam Railroad Museum Texas Hall of State African-American Museum the Cotton Bowl The Texas Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Smithsonian’s Women’s Museum. It features high-tech interactive exhibits and ongoing educational programs such as "The Electronic Quilt"; more than 30 feet high and made of a matrix of thirty-five image "patches" of illuminated photos quotes and video cubes it is comprised of images and words extracted from all areas of the permanent exhibits.
